Regulatory Framework Working Group

The Regulatory Framework Working Group plays a key role in supporting the EU Institutions in relation to legislative initiatives in the electronic communications sector. Its focus is on the institutional aspects enshrined in the sectoral regulatory framework, including the layout of independent National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) and the effective functioning of BEREC governance. The Group is also responsible for ensuring the provision of any technical assistance requested by BEREC member NRAs.

Ervin Kajzinger is Director of International Affairs at the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), Hungary. In this capacity, Ervin is involved in several European cooperation initiatives between regulatory authorities such as the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications, the European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services and the European Regulators Group for Postal Services. He is responsible for the activity of NMHH in international organisations including the International Telecommunications Union and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). 

He also serves as Co-Chair of BEREC’s Regulatory Framework Working Group and an alternate member of the Board of Regulators. Prior to this position, he worked in several ministries in Hungary where his primary role was the development of Information and Communications Technology policies and strategies. He was one of the Vice-chairs of the Committee on Information, Communications and Computer Policy Committee of the OECD. Before serving in public administration, he worked as a consultant at Deloitte.
